The Australian Curriculum: History – a critique.

Until the early twenty first century, each State of Australia had developed its own curriculum, but during the first decade all the States and Territories, with bi-partisan support from the Federal Governments, decided to work towards an Australia-Wide Curriculum, first called the National Curriculum and then later the Australian Curriculum. The first four subject areas developed were English, Mathematics, Science and History.

This was a response to the first version of the History Curriculum.
